You touch down in Islamabad and are swiftly transferred to your hotel. This day is all about recovery and tuning in—rest, gear check, and briefings lay the groundwork for the journey ahead.
Following breakfast, you're either flown to Skardu or drive over the Karakoram Highway. Regardless, the day concludes in Chilas—altitude around 2,250 m—with overnight rest and acclimatization.
A scenic drive brings you to Passu or Borith Lake. You arrive in this dramatic alpine landscape, ready to shift into expedition mode. Overnight in Passu.
You continue the approach by heading to Luzdur—approximately 5-6 hours. This camp serves as the launchpad into more technical terrain. Stay in tents.
A challenging 6–7-hour trek takes you from Luzdur to Passu Sar Base Camp (~4,300 m). Expect glacier crossings and initial acclimatization as you settle into high camp life.
Over this intensive 30-day window, you execute your summit strategy. Route-finding through crevassed terrain, establishing higher camps, acclimatization rotations, and technical climbs on steep ice and snow await. Careful planning, teamwork, and weather vigil keep you pushing upward toward 7,284 m.
After summiting (or completing the attempt), you retrace your steps—descending from Base Camp back to the settled comforts of Passu Village. Reflection and celebration mark the return.
A scenic drive brings you to Karimabad. After the mental and physical challenge, this day is about gentle movement, re-entry into lower altitudes, and cultural reconnection.
You continue descending through stunning valleys, crossing Babusar Pass—taking in the mountain panoramas, rivers, and alpine meadows—as you journey toward Naran.
Descending further, the trip takes you back to Islamabad. En route, you can pause at Taxila to explore ancient Gandharan ruins and visit the museum—an enriching cultural capstone.
Your expedition concludes with a transfer from the hotel to Islamabad International Airport for your flight home—carrying memories of one of Pakistan’s most thrilling high-altitude adventures.
