Brughil region along the Wakhan Corridor is an area yet to be explored. There exist secluded virgin valleys and grazing lands touching Afghanistan and Central Asian States through this famous strip.
On the trek, we cross three passes starting with an easy stroll through the valleys and pastures. The scenery is captivating and out of the world. The Chillinji Pass joins the region with upper Hunza Valley in Chipurson. We cross the famous shrine called Baba Ghundi Ziarat to arrive on Karakoram High (KKH) and drive to Karimabad, the capital of former Hunza State.

Permit Requirement: A trekking permit is not required as the trek falls in the open zone.
Arrival at Islamabad International Airport. You’ll be met and transferred to your hotel. Spend the afternoon on a city tour visiting sites like Daman‑e‑Koh and the iconic Faisal Mosque. In the evening enjoy a welcome dinner and trek briefing with your guides. Overnight at a hotel in Islamabad.
Early drive to Bumburet in the Kalash valley (around 10 hours). Along the way you’ll witness changing landscapes as you approach the Hindukush foothills. Overnight in local hotel or guesthouse in Bumburet.
Discover the unique Kalash culture: meet local villagers, visit traditional homes, learn about their animist traditions and crafts. Return to hotel in Bumburet for overnight.
Head to Chitral town (around 1½ hours), where final trek preparations are made. Overnight in Chitral with briefing on next day's departure.
A long jeep journey (9–10 hours) taking you deeper into the Hindukush, arriving at Lasht. Settle into camp and rest before trekking begins.
Drive approximately 5 hours to Chikar valley. At around 3,700 m, you'll reach your first campsite. Brief orientation and overnight in tents.
Today is a day‑hike to Darkot Glacier (approx. 4,150 m) and back to Chikar — a 6–8 hour trek. Soak in views of glacial moraine and icefalls. Return to camp at Chikar.
Begin your trekking journey—about 7–8 hours up through alpine meadows and small ridges to reach Lashkargaz, at roughly 3,650 m. Camp overnight.
Trek for 6–7 hours through high pastures to reach serene Karomber Lake (~4,200 m). Set up camp on the shores and enjoy sunset over turquoise waters.
A rest day to soak in scenery, explore around Karomber Lake or photograph mountainous reflections. Overnight camping at the lakeside.
A shorter trek (4 hours) downhill to Shuinj (~3,890 m). Ideal day to recover and adjust before glacier crossing. Overnight in tents.
A challenging 6‑hour trek over the Chatiboi Glacier, crossing ice and moraine before descending to Sukhtarabad (~3,420 m). Camp overnight.
Trail leads through forested jungle at lower altitude (~3,650 m) over 4–5 hours. Campside among pines, a welcome green contrast.
A higher ascent (~4 000 m) over about 4 hours. The camp lies just below Chilinji Pass in high alpine terrain, prepping for the big crossing.
Cross the high Chilinji Pass (~5,200 m) in a 7–8 hour effort, then descend into Biater in the Chapursan Valley. Witness expansive vistas as you drop elevation. Camp in Biater.
A 5–6‑hour trek following trails down to the shrine of Baba Ghundi Ziarat in north‑western Hunza. Arrival offers cultural contact with pilgrims. Overnight camp.
Board a jeep for a 6–7 hour drive from Ziarat to Sust via the pass of Rehist. Transition from trekking zone into Karakoram Highway region. Overnight in Sust lodging.
Continue by vehicle along the KKH to Karimabad via Chipurson, possibly revisiting the shrine of Baba Ghundi for local lore. Overnight in Karimabad (Hunza).
Enjoy a day off trekking with sightseeing in Hunza: Baltit Fort, Eagle’s Nest, local bazaars, and panoramic views of Rakaposhi and Ultar peaks. Stay overnight in Karimabad.
A scenic 8‑hour drive along the Karakoram Highway to Naran. Transition from mountainous Hunza into lush alpine Naran region. Hotel stay in Naran.
Final drive of about 7 hours: Naran to Bisham and onwards to Islamabad. Arrive back in Islamabad for an overnight or departure.
Transfer to Islamabad International Airport for your homeward flight. Conclude your 21‑night/22‑day journey filled with mountain magic, cultural insights, and alpine memories.
